If you were hurriedly taking down notes and might have forgotten some information at BDX last night, don’t worry. We have last night’s slides right here.

SEO can be a difficult thing to wrap your head around if you’re completely new to it and don’t quite get how it can help your website. Luckily for those in attendance last night we had some great speakers who talked about all things SEO, what it does, how it works, why you need to spend time on it and why it affects what you do with your mobile phone.

Let’s take a look at some of these slides

Janis got the ball rolling by informing everyone and giving a little background in to what SEO IS.

Calum from Big Surf Digital told us why it’s vital to keep a site safe from the allure of spammy links and how to make sure you don’t find yourself getting hit with a penalty that will cause long term damage to your site’s rankings.

Jenny from POSH laid out the importance of getting people actively involved with sites and products through a proactive PR approach, reaching out to authority figures within a niche and establishing connections.

Nathan Amery shared some insights in to the big Google mobile update which is taking place on April 21st, what it means for sites that are already fully optimised for mobile devices and what it means for those who aren’t.

We’d like to thank everyone who took part in last night’s event and hope to see everyone again in two weeks from now.
